Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ITS Counselling. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our websites (https://itscounselling.org/ and https://itscounselling.evershield.ca/) and your registration for our paid and free events, workshops, and camps.
By accessing our website or registering for an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. General Provisions
- “The Organization” refers to ITS Counselling.
- “The User” or “You” refers to the person accessing the website or registering for an event.
- “Service” refers to the events, camps, counselling sessions, and informational content provided by the Organization.
2. Event Registration and Eligibility
- Accuracy of Information: When booking an event (e.g., Sikhi Engagement Camp), you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Registration for Minors: If you are registering a participant under the age of 18, you certify that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and you consent to these Terms on their behalf.
- Capacity: We reserve the right to limit the number of participants for any event. Registration is generally on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Payments and Donations
- Currency: All fees are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via the methods indicated on the checkout page (e.g., Interac e-Transfer, Credit Card via third-party processors).
- e-Transfers: If paying by e-Transfer, your spot is not confirmed until the funds have been received and matched to your registration.
- Donations: Donations made to ITS Counselling are non-refundable. Tax receipts will be issued in accordance with CRA guidelines where applicable.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation by Participant:
- Free Events: Please notify us as soon as possible if you cannot attend so we may offer your spot to someone else.
- Paid Events: Unless otherwise stated on the specific event page, cancellations made 14 days prior to the event start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event may be subject to a 50% administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event.
- Cancellation by ITS Counselling:
- If we must cancel an event due to low enrollment, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any registration fees paid. We are not responsible for any personal travel or accommodation costs incurred by you.
5. Code of Conduct
To ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants (specifically regarding the values of Sikhi and community), strictly prohibit the following at our events:
- Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind.
- Possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, or recreational drugs.
- Disruptive behavior that endangers the safety or well-being of others.
Violation of this Code: ITS Counselling reserves the right to remove any participant from an event without refund if their behavior violates this Code of Conduct.
6. Liability Waiver and Release
- Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that participation in physical events, camps, and workshops carries inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation for yourself and/or your minor child.
- Release: You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless ITS Counselling, its organizers, volunteers, and venue providers from any claims, damages, or liabilities regarding personal injury, property damage, or loss sustained during an event.
- Medical Emergency: In the event of a medical emergency involving a minor where the parent/guardian cannot be reached, you authorize ITS Counselling staff to secure medical treatment.
7. Media and Photography
- During our events, we may take photographs or video recordings for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials.
- Opt-Out: If you strictly do not wish for yourself or your child to be photographed, you must inform the event organizers in writing via email prior to the event start date.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (text, logos, graphics, and course materials) is the property of ITS Counselling. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written permission.
9. Privacy
Your submission of personal information through the store or booking system is governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be viewed on our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the website shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
